The RSB is pleased to announce the launch of its anniversary Apprentice of the Year award

The award has been set up as part of the RSB’s 10 year anniversary celebrations, to celebrate apprentices and recognise their contribution to their teams and inspiration of others. It also forms part of our wider work supporting technical staff and their contribution through our support of the Technician Commitment and Technician Action Plan.

The award recognises apprentices who are:

1. Applying professional technical knowledge and expertise
2. Acquiring & effectively applying personal/professional development
3. Making a positive impact and inspiring others
4. Demonstrating effective teamwork & collaboration
5. Delivering projects efficiently

Prizes

Winners receive £500 in prize money, alongside one year’s free RSB membership and free Registered Science Technician (RSciTech) professional recognition if the winner submits a successful register application.

What we are looking for

Applicants can self-nominate or be nominated by a sponsor or colleague. The judging panel will be looking to hear about apprentices who go above and beyond in their role, have a positive impact on their team and who actively develop their skillsets and responsibilities. 

The award is open to all apprentices, at any level, working within the bioscience sector.
