Anniversary Gala Dinner | Tuesday 3 March 2020, London

A three-course dinner and drinks reception to mark 10 years since the launch of the Royal Society of Biology. The event will bring together the biosciences and our diverse membership in celebration of our achievements in the last decade.

There is a unique opportunity to hear from inspirational speakers. Attending the event will also enable your guests to build connections for future collaborations – all within the spectacular Science Museum in London.

Pioneers of Biology Talk Series | 2020, UK

This series of six events throughout the anniversary year will celebrate bioscientists and their achievements in different locations around the UK, covering a breadth of topics from discoveries to techniques. The events will engage a range of audiences, from specialists in the related field to the general public.

The chosen individual’s story as well as current research in the field will be shared through an inspiring talk, followed by a networking reception for building future connections and enhancing community development. A commemorative blue plaque will also be installed to raise awareness of the region’s heritage and to remain as a legacy of the series.

£2,000, six available | Support a talk to promote biological discoveries and leave a legacy

  • Logo on the blue plaque, alongside the RSB’s, as a legacy of the partnership and of the event (TBC)
  • A short keynote address at the event
  • Opportunity to suggest speakers for the event
  • Complimentary event tickets (or reduced price tickets for your members if you are a current Member Organisation of the RSB)
  • Promotion of your relevant (in accordance with the theme of the event) educational resources on the anniversary website as a free, downloadable activity for use in schools

Big Biology Day Grant | 2020, UK

These festivals will look to foster a sense of community and bring together a number of organisations under one roof to inspire interest in the biosciences, by showcasing it in fun and stimulating ways.
